The GCB Nativity Service

Come along to the Grace Church Brockley service this Sunday at 4pm to see our Nativity play starring the GCB kids!

It’s an All Age service with carols, the nativity and a short talk as part of our Advent celebrations.

Children are welcome to come dressed as shepherds and angels.

Reverse Advent Calendar

Advent has begun, carols are in the air and mince pies are at the ready as we countdown to celebrate the day when Jesus entered our world. He came for us. It was the most loving gift that God could give.

So in the spirit of giving we’re taking part in the Reverse Advent calendar for the Lewisham Food bank.

The calendar is full of ideas you can donate every day throughout advent to bless some of our neighbours who will really struggle this Christmas.

To make the calendar, simply print the two pictures below (A3 colour if possible), then cut around 3 of the 4 sides of each numbered square to make little doors. Finally stick this to the second page. Be careful not to glue the doors shut!

We’ll be collecting all the donations on Sunday 14th January at our 4pm service.Advent calendar FRONTAdvent calendar BACK

New event: Stir Up Saturday

We’re holding our first Stir Up Saturday event this coming Saturday. The idea is that we can start preparing for Christmas together (there are always so many jobs) with our friends for a fun, relaxed evening with a short Christmas talk.

Lizzie Smallwood is coming to speak to us on what it means to be rich.

This is a great evening to invite friends who may never have heard the gospel before or would like to know more about Christianity.

Here are the details…

Make your own Christmas pudding or advent candle decoration!

Join us for an evening of festive making as we stir up Christmas puddings OR make Advent Candle table decorations. (You can choose your craft)

Bring along your own apron, wooden spoon and mixing bowl.

We’ll bring the ingredients, recipe and crafts.

Together we will measure, pour, stir, stick and chat with a short Christmas talk by Lizzie Smallwood.

Cost: £7 per person

Date:11th November 2017

Place: Crofton Park Baptist Church Hall, SE4 1EB

Time:7.30pm doors open
